UHC and SDG 2021

Monitoring the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and universal health coverage (UHC) is a priority in the Western Pacific Region.

This dashboard is an update to the 2018 UHC and SDG country profiles. It similarly aims to assist the country-led SDG and UHC monitoring process by allowing exploration of the latest SDG and UHC indicators for each country. This information may then guide discussion on the current SDG progress, highlight possible areas (and population groups) where performance may be low, and foster policy dialogues for countries in the region.

This dashboard presents health data – at the regional level and for every country – in relation to the thematic priorities of For the Future: Towards the Healthiest and Safest Region. This data provide a baseline for tracking progress of the priorities identified in For the Future, including health security, noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and ageing, the health impact of climate and environmental change, and reaching the unreached.

Moreover, this dashboard serves as a periodic review of progress towards achieving the health-related SDG targets and UHC – depicting trends since the adoption of the SDG Agenda in 2015, wherever data are available.
