Disclaimer

This platform provides access to data collected or generated by WHO, as well as data from other external sources, such as the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, UNICEF, and the World Bank. In some instances, different values for the same indicator may be found on the platform depending on the source of data. The user is requested to take note of the sources of data and indicator definitions when deciding which value to use.

For WHO data: Many datasets represent the best estimates of WHO using methodologies for specific indicators that aim for comparability across countries and time; they are updated as more recent or revised data become available, or when there are changes to the methodology being used. Therefore, the datasets are not always the same as official national estimates, although WHO, whenever possible, will provide Member States the opportunity to review and comment on data and estimates as part of country consultations. Please check the “Metadata” details for indicators browsed in the data visualization tool or the Indicator and Measurement Registry at the WHO Global Health Observatory.

For non-WHO data: availability of data from other sources does not signify endorsement by WHO. This data has been made available to facilitate visualization and analysis for the user. Sources for all data have been clearly indicated. WHO takes no responsibility for the validity of the data or how the data are visualized, analyzed and used by the user.
