This dashboard provides an overview of the population change in countries and areas of the Western Pacific Region, with a focus on the proportion of older people. It includes the estimated historical demographic trends for the period from 1950 to the present and projected future population trends out to 2100.

The data were sourced from the 2019 revision of the World Population Prospects, the Population Division of the United Nations. Age- and sex-disaggregated estimates in thousand were used to calculate total numbers and proportions.
