Having an account in the data portal and data tool will make data exploration easier and will enrich your data exploration experience. There are various features available for registered users, the foremost is the ability to create and save visualisations. Saving charts allows user to create multiple visualization and be able to store or save it for later use. Saved visualisations can be easily combined to create simple dashboards (can also be saved or stored). These dashboards, in turn, can be used as interactive presentations and embedded pages.

Most importantly, registered users can interact and see each others "private" charts or visualisation - if and only if a user share the "private" charts, visualisation or dashboard. They can comment in a chat like function, follow the activities (charts) of certain users and re-use or re-purpose and save a shared chart or visualisation.
